YMCA baseball leagues emphasize fun, teamwork, sportsmanship and inclusion, while encouraging kids to be active – a benefit to them both physically and mentally, as active kids are not only healthier but do better in school.

Our introductory baseball leagues are eight-week programs focusing on fun, while teaching basic baseball skills, such as throwing, catching and hitting. Baseball leagues run only in the spring and are open to young athletes of any ability between the ages of 4 and 7.

Approximately 70% of kids stop playing organized sports by the age of 13 because they say it’s not fun anymore. That’s why the YMCA works to keep fun in the game.
