Denise L. Day 

President and Chief Executive Officer

Denise L. Day is President and Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, an association of eight YMCAs serving more than 80,000 members throughout Chester County. Denise is respected nationally as a YMCA leader in membership, program development and fundraising. She spearheaded the renovation and re-opening of the former downtown West Chester Area YMCA into what is now the Oscar Lasko YMCA and Childcare Center.

Her passion for fundraising led her to establish the YMCA of Greater Brandywine's current annual support practices, resulting in over $1.2 million in annual donations to the Y's annual campaign each year. Denise has been recognized for her work on behalf of children and families and is the recipient of the 2012 March of Dimes Achievement Award for Excellence in Public Service.

Andrea Youndt

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Andrea D. Youndt is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, an Association of eight YMCAs serving 80,000 members throughout Chester County, Pennsylvania. Andrea has more than 28 years of non-profit leadership experience and over 15 years of YMCA leadership experience. 


Andrea joined the then YMCA of the Brandywine Valley in 2010 as the Sr. VP/COO. In 2014, the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley merged with the YMCA of the Upper Main Line to become the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. Prior to coming to Chester County, Andrea served at the Executive Director of the Rocky Run YMCA and District VP for the YMCA of Philadelphia and Vicinity from 2000 – 2010. 


Andrea is respected nationally as a YMCA leader and serves as the Chair of the National YMCA competitive swimming and diving committee, Chair of the 2015 COO Conference program committee and has spoken to many Y’s across the country in regard to Member engagement and retention strategies. She is seen as a subject expert on Risk Management and Safety and has been a trainer on many topics. In addition to these accomplishments Andrea is also active with the YMCA’s global initiatives and was instrumental in forging a collaborative partnership with the YMCA of Peru in a formal partnership. Andrea has worked with the YMCA of Russia to expand their camp program, participated in the 2008 International Youth Festival in Prague and attended the World Alliance meeting in Durban, South Africa as a member of the US delegation. She is committed to youth development and providing opportunities for all children to learn, grow and thrive. 

 

 

Tim Walsh 

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Tim is responsible for financial reporting and compliance, group purchasing, contract negotiation and ensuring the financial stability of the YMCA’s eight facilities. He brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, information technology and sales to this position.
