Ways to Save on Summer Camp at the Y

A boy and girl play outside during camp at the YMCA.

Summer is coming and it’s time to start thinking about sun, fun and camp. If you appreciate saving a few dollars, here are a few tips to help you save on YMCA Summer Camp.

  • Early Bird Discount!
Register for summer camp before early bird pricing expires on February 29, 2024. It's the biggest camp savings all year!

  • Use the sibling discount.
Multiple kids? Head to your branch to register. Families with two or more children signing up for the same week receive 10% off the lowest weekly fee (restrictions apply). If you register online, please complete the sibling discount form and a discount will be applied to your account.

  • Become a YMCA member.
YMCA membership is not required to register for camp, however, members do receive a reduced rate. Join today!

  • Before and After Camp Time.
Many camps charge for extended care - or before and after camp time.

At the YMCA,  After Camp Time is available from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at no additional cost!

  • Use a Dependent Care FSA account.
Check with your employer to see if they offer a dependent care flexible spending account (FSA). A dependent care FSA is an account where your employer withholds pre-tax dollars from your paycheck for you to use on child care needs, like summer camp. Because the money is withdrawn before taxes, you are saving money by not being taxed on it. Our system makes it easy to pull receipts whenever you need them, so you can request reimbursements at your convenience.

  • Apply for an Income-Based Membership or financial assistance.
At the YMCA, we do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Anyone is invited to apply for an income-based YMCA membership or financial assistance. Those receiving income-based memberships are also eligible to receive discounted rates for programming, including camp!
