When it comes to losing weight, there isn’t a “one size fits all” strategy. Everyone’s body works differently. That’s why our Healthy Weight Loss Program teaches you how to design your own plan that you can sustain over time, rather than prescribing or advocating for one specific method or short-term solution.
Led by a trained facilitator who creates a safe and supportive environment for all, participants in our Healthy Weight Loss Program meet for one hour each week for 12 weeks. Our facilitators guide discussions on goal setting, balanced eating, physical activity, stress, mindfulness and more. Classes begin the week of January 21, with new sessions beginning every six weeks thereafter. Piloted at 27 YMCAs, 70% of participants lost weight during the program.

The Healthy Weight Loss Program is $99 for YMCA members and $189 for non-members. However, special pricing is available now through January 31:
- Current YMCA Members
- From December 15-31, YMCA members pay just $39—a savings of $60 off the regular price! This is the best price available on this program.
- From January 1-31, YMCA members pay just $49 for the program—a savings of $50!
- New YMCA Members
- If you join the YMCA between December 15-31, you pay just $138 to get started. This includes your join fee and the weight loss program.
- If you join the YMCA between January 1-31, you pay just $148 to get started. This includes your join fee and the weight loss program.
