Rick Reigner is the Executive Director of the Lionville Community YMCA. Rick began his Y career at the Pottstown YMCA and brings 23 years of diverse Y experience to the position. After Pottstown he took a position with the YMCA of Greater Worcester in Massachusetts before returning to Pennsylvania where he served as Branch Executive Director for the Harrisburg Area YMCA and Chief Executive Officer for the Oil City Area YMCA in western Pennsylvania. In addition he served as President & Chief Executive Officer for the Prairie Valley Family YMCA in Elgin, Illinois and Project Manager for the Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs Statewide Pioneering Healthier Communities initiative to reverse childhood obesity.
Some of Rick’s achievements include: growing the capacity, brand and community impact of each Y he has led as an Executive; building a new YMCA in central PA and chartering a new branch in Illinois to meet community needs; implementing a program in western PA for at-risk youth and first time offenders that reduced the number of repeat offenders and earned the Governor’s Violence Free Prevention Award; developing and implementing a comprehensive newcomer engagement program in Illinois to respond to significant demographic shifts that resulted in greater engagement, growth and inclusiveness for the Y receiving national recognition from YMCA of the USA and being modeled by YMCAs in several other states. He has also served on the Governor’s Enhanced Physical Education Taskforce in Illinois charged with developing the recommendations to restructure and enhance Physical Education for K-12 schools which were successfully approved and being implemented.
Rick is a cause-driven leader who is passionate about the Y and working with partners to strengthen the foundations of our community. Rick stated, “I am thrilled to be back in PA and to be part of the Lionville Community YMCA and look forward to positively impacting the lives of the kids, families and adults of our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”
Rick is married with 3 children. When not at work he enjoys running, biking, swimming, movies, Broadway shows and playing with his Old English sheepdog. Rick has served in several Rotary Clubs and will be looking for opportunities to get involved in his community and service area. Rick is currently on the Board of Director's of the Exton Regional Chamber of Commerce, is Governance / Professional Development Chair and serves on the Non-Profit Council. In addition Rick is also a member of the Central Chester County Rotary Club.
